Besides playing gigs, writing and recording music, practicing or jamming with my band, I really love teaching those curious souls what I can about music generally and playing the guitar in particular. For those who are starting out, I cover the basics: chords, scales, modes and beyond, but as well enjoy transcribing tunes the student is interested in, aiming to reveal some of the inspiration behind the piece.
For more advanced players, the sky is the limit. Genres, techinique, harmony, time, feel, there are always areas to explore in music.
I typically do in person one on one lessons, but can provide instruction via skype as well. Feel free to contact me and we can discuss any questions you might have.

I am a strong believer in the power of transcribing tunes, solos, any desirable musical ideas. Here is a jazz piano solo that I transcribed by Red Garland. It was super challenging and thoroughly rewarding.
And a few words about the solo.
Here are two of four parts of a lesson on the major triad that I posted on youtube.
